Skin peel of the face and the neck
Description:
A peel is a chemical skin exfoliation.
There are different types of peels which address the following:
– Acneic skins and dilated pores through sebaceous glands regulation with the alpha-beta complex.
– Wrinkles and fine lines not very marked by stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis with TCA peel.
– Pigmented spots, by homogenizing dermal synthesis with kojic acid and retinol.
– Dark complexion, by epidermal stimulation with glycolic acid.
The treatment usually consists in 3 to 4 sessions with 15 days between each.
Most of the time, it is advised to prepare the skin with specific day cream and night cream.
You need to apply the creams 15 days before the treatment.
They will be prescribed before the sessions, during the consultation.
Peel is carried out in the surgery.
You can go back to your daily activities immediately after the peel.
Slight redness and peeling can appear on the 3rd day after the procedure.
For TCA 30% peels, a peeling appears during 7 days. A repairing cream should be applied twice a day and sunlight is prohibited to avoid pigmentary changes.
Peels are advised against during pregnancy and can't be carried out in case of herpes outbreak.
Sun exposure is prohibited during the treatment and the month following the treatment.
